Our Worship

At our worship services, you will always be welcomed and treated with respect. We invite all to come and be with us at every opportunity you have!

We worship on the first day of the week (Sunday) as the church did in the first century. We see this example in the New Testament and we strive to imitate all aspects of their worship in what we do based on the teaching of scripture (Acts 20:7). 

What You Will See

We will sing praises to God using only our voices as we see example of the in the New Testament (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16).

We will pray to God to offer thanks for all that he has done for us, as well as petition him for assistance with our needs and for his guidance in our lives (James 5:16).

We will have teaching from the Word of God. Our preacher and teachers will present lessons from God's Word that are meant to edify and encourage. If you have any questions about something that is taught, please do not be afraid to approach the teacher after the lesson (or ask a question publicly during a Bible class) and ask for an explanation. It is our goal to give an answer to anyone that asks us a question (I Pet. 3:15).

We will partake of the Lord's Supper as Christ instituted prior to his death (Matthew 26:26-29). We will partake of the bread which represents the broken body of Jesus on the cross and the fruit of the vine (grape juice) which represents the blood that was shed. It is up to each one individually to determine whether or not they should partake of this sacred memorial (I Cor. 11:26-29).

We will take up a collection from the saints as shown by example of the church in the first century. This is not a solicitation of funds from our visitors but an opportunity for our members to lay by in store as they have prospered so that the work of the congregation can continue (I Cor. 16:1-2, Luke 21:1-4, II Cor. 9:7).
