Congregational Leadership

As with all that we do, our congregation follows New Testament examples of congregational leadership. As an autonomous group, we look to the men within the congregation to fill the roles set out in scripture. Those selected to fill leadership roles are considered carefully and prayerfully before being installed into their office. With the guidance of scripture, we look for spiritually mature and dedicated Christian men to be elders (I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9). For our deacons, we install men who are serving the congregation and are leading a Christian lifestyle (I Timothy 3:8-13). At their core, all elders and deacons are dedicated Christians with a desire to serve.

While the pulpit minister is not a formal leadership position outlined in scripture, they are typically the most easily identified role in the congregation due to the nature of preaching. The minister's role is to preach the truth as it is found in the Word of God.
